Why and When Established
September 1998

This service was originally started when 411’s owner, Sondra Moore, bought a fixer-upper in 1996, and she was looking for some guidance on the web for how-to’s and ideas. Ultimately, some of the work required on the fixer-upper was out of Sondra’s skill set and she required a reliable contractor. As many people have heard horror stories about the contracting industry, research was done and the web sites begin to develop into what it is today.

Nationwide is the target; however we do have people visiting our valued web site from all around the world.

With current Affiliations, 411 Referral Network has access to over 500,000 contractors with main focus in general contracting for home additions or remodeling, custom built homes, and commercial jobs.

Cost for Referral Service
Homeowners receive this service free of charge.

How to become a Network Contractor & Prerequisites
Contractor may fill out our online form to start the application process. A Network representative will contact them within 2 business days.

Contractors must be properly licensed with the state and local agencies. This information is validated prior to membership. Partner affiliates periodically checked to ensure all contractors remain properly certified, licensed and bonded to ensure the quality of results.

Furthermore, if a customer makes a complaint through our follow up surveys, a contractor’s membership could be revoked if the contractor is found to have shown inadequate results

While 411 Home Repair does not guarantee the work of any contractor, the screening process reduces the headaches of homeowner researching state and local licensing requirements.
